HomeMy WebLinkAboutBOARD MINUTES 12-11-84 128 MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR BOARD MEETING OF THE DISTRICT BOARD OF THE CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD ON DECEMBER 11,1984 The District Board of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District convened in an adjourned regular session at Heather Farms Garden Center, 1540 Marchbanks Dri ve, Walnut Creek, County of Contra Costa, State of California, on December 11, 1984, at 7:15 p.m. The Secretary of the District noted the attendance of the following Board Members: I . ATTENDANCE PRESENT: Members: Carlson, Boneysteele, Clausen, Dalton ABSENT: Members: Stanley Member Stanley had indicated previously he would be unable to attend this meeting and requested that he be excused. II. SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP Mr. Roger J. Dolan, General Manager-Chief Engineer, performed intro- ducti ons of Di stri ct and County staff and consultants and presented a capsule up-date of project events. Mr. James M. Kelly, Solid Waste Management Project Manager, outlined the background and current status of the study and presented solid waste management concepts and the current disposal site alternatives referencing the fact sheet provided to participants. Mr. Gary Robbins, of Urban Alternatives, explained the public participation program and the mechanics of the workshop session. At this time, participants broke into twelve groups to discuss solid waste management concepts and disposal site alternatives, utilizing the fact sheet and discussion guides provided. Staff and consultants were available to answer specific questions raised in the individual groups. At the conc 1 us i on of the di scuss i on, group spokespersons reported the individual findings of each group. This information will be compiled by Urban Alternatives and a feedback report prepared for distribution to participants. III. ADJOURNMENT At 11:55 p.m., the meeting was adjourned.
