September 10, 1946
The Board of Direotors of the Contra Costa Sanitary District met
at an adjourned meeting on the date above written in the City
Hall at Walnut Creek.
There were present the following directors: President Weill,
Direotors Toland, Tuttle, Johnson and Wadsworth.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and stood approved
as read.
Mr. H. L. Thackwell of the Engineering firm of the Kaiser Co.
was present and presented to the Board the qualifications of the
Kaiser Co. as engineers of the proposed district.
John S. Bates, Sanitary Engineer of Berkeley also presented to
the Board the qualifications of his organization and the projects
he has installed in this State.
The Secretary was instructed to make appointments for the
Lumbermans Engineering Co. of Berkeley and Mr. C. L. Maoabee,
Sanitary Engineer of Palo Alto to be present at the next
meeting of the Board, September 16, to present their qualifications.
A general discussion was had relative to bringing to a close the
interviewing of prospective engineers, and the Secretary was
instructed to ma{e up a list of all those that have been heard
for each Director.
There being no further business, upon motion duly made, seconded
and carried the Board adjourned until Monday ev~ning, September
16,8 o'clock, at the same place.
