MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
OF THE SAN ITAHY BOARD OF CENTRAL
CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
HELD MARCH 12. 1948
The Sanitary Board of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary Dist-
rict convened in special session at its regular plate of meeting
located at 1335 Commercial Lane, in the City of Walnut Creek,
County of Contra Costa, State of California, on the 12th day of
March, 1948, at the hour of 8: o'clock p.m.
Due to the absence of Secretary Cutler, it was moved by
Director Johnson, seconded by Director Smitten, that Mrs. Phillips
be appointed Secretary Pro Tern.
The meeting was called to order by President Weill and the
follo~ing roll was called:

Directors Johnson, S~itten, Toland, and Weill.
ABSENT:
Director Wadsworth.
When this sp€cial meeting was called all members of the Board
had previous notice, and Mr. Wadsworth reported that he would
be unable to attend the meeting.
LACASSIE AVENUE SEWER
At the meeting held on January 8, The Attorney presented a
letter from the District Attorney, in which was stated the opinion
that it would proper for the Sanitary District to pay the addition-
al cost between a 6 inch and 10 inch sewer in Lacassie Avenue.
After hearing the bids as received by the City of Walnut
Creek, it was moved by Director Smitten, seconded by Director
Toland that the Sanittary Board authorize the participation in the
Lacassie Avenue Improvement District by the payment of the sum of
$1277.08 toward the cost of the construction of the sewer to be
installed in Lacassie Avenue.

The following resolution was offered by Director Johnson,
seconded by Director Toland:
RESOLUTION, NO. 111
ACCEPTANCE OF DEED OF DEDICATION FOR
SEWER EASEMENT FROM J. K. CALLEY
WHEREAS, J. K. CALLEY, for value received, has granted a Deed
of Dedication for sewer easement of all that certain real property
situate in the County of Contra Costa, State of California, des-
cribed as follows:
PortioI1 of the Rancho San Ramon, described as follows:
A strip of land 20 feet in width, the northwest line of
which is parallel with and 42 feet southeasterly at
right angles, from the center line of the right of way
of the Sacramento Northern Railway, as said right of
way is described in the deed from R. W. Kinney, et aI,
to Oakland and Antioch Railway, dated September 5, 1911
and recorded September 22, 1911 in Volume 170 of Deeds,
at page 244; the easterly extremity of said 20 foot
strip being the northeast line of the parcel of land
described in the deed from Sacramento Northern Railway
to Wallace E. Hyde, dated May 12, 1947 and recorded June
13, 1947 (File No. 23506), and the westerly extremity
thereof being the east line of Lot 1, as designated on
the map entitled "Hillside Terrace Tract ", which map was
filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of
Contra Costa, State of California, on September 6, 1946
in Volume 30 of Maps, B.t page 45.
Said Deed of Dedication for sewer easement together with the
right of ingress thereto and egress therefrom to be used by the
Central Contra Costa Sanitary District for the purpose of const~uct-
ing, laying, maintaining and operating sewer pipes therein and
thereupon together with appurtenances and appliances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that said Deed of Dedication be,
and same is hereby accepted, and the Recorder of Contra Costa County
be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to record said deed.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of March, 1948, by the follow-
ing vote:
