The District Board of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District
convened in special session at its re~ular plpc~ of meetinf located
at 1335 CommprciRl Lane, in the City of Walnut Creek, County of
Contra CostA, State of California, on the )rd day of August, 1948,
at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m.
The meetinœ was called to order by Director Smitten.

BY RESOLUTION AND ORDER OF THE BOA?,D OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA
COSTA COUNTY DATED JANUARY 19, 1948, HELD TUESDAY, JULY 27,
1948, for THE PU7-rOSE OF SUBMITTING TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS
OF SAID ANNEXED TERRITORY THE PROPOSITION OF THE ISSUE OF
BONDS FOR THE ACQ,UISI'rION AND CONSTRUCTION OF A SE~ÆRAGE
SYSTEM FOR SAID ANNEXED TERRITORY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings taken by the Sanitary Board of
Central Contra Costa County Sanitary District, an election was held
on Tuesday, July 27, 1948, in the territory annexed to said District
by resolution and order of the Board of Supervisors of said Contra
Costa. County dated January 19, 1948, for the purpose of submitting
to the quAlified electors of said annexed territory the proposition
of the issue of $70,000 principal amount of bonds for the aCQuisition
and construction of a sewerage system in sai~ annexed territory, which
election was noticed, called, held and conducted all in the time, form
and manner required by law, and the resolutions, orders and proceed-
ings taken by said District; and
WHEREAS, the Sanit8.ry B08rd of said District met at its usu8.1
place of meeting at the time reouired by law to CAnvass said election
pnd to deter'mine end declare the result thereof, and having completed
the canvass of said returns;

I. That said election was duly and regularly held and conducted,
and the votes cast thereat received and canvassed, and the returns
thereof made in time, form and manner reouired by law;
2. That the whole number of votes CG,st in said District at said
election was 196;
J. That the proposition voted upon at said election in said
District was as follows:
PROPOSITION: Shall Central Contra Costa Sanitary
District, Contra Costa County, Calif-
ornia, issue $70,000 principal amount of bonds for
the purpose of raising money for the acQuisition
and construction of sewers, drains and sewerage
collection, outfall, treatment woy'ks and sanitary
disposal system in the territory known as Pacheco
and Highway Junction area annexed to said Central
Contra Costa Sanitary District by resolution and
order of the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa
County dated January 19, 1948, both the principal
of and interest on said bonds to be payable from
taxes limited to the property in said annexed terr-
itory subject to taxation by said District?
4. That there were two (2) election precincts established in said
District by the Sanitary Board thereof for the purpose of holding said
election; the.t the total number of votes cast in each precinct for and
against said proposition and the total number of votes cast in each of
said precincts is as follows:

5. That all absent voters' ballots have been duly received and
canvassed in time, form and ma.nner as reQuired by law, and the l"esult

6. That the total number of votes cast for and against said pro-
pof,i tion voted upon, including the foI'egoing absentee votes, was as

7. That B.t said election more then two-thirds (2/3) of all the
votes cast thereat were in favor of said proposition and authorizing
the issuance of said bonds for the purposes set forth in said propo-
si tion and that said proposition ha.s been accepted and approved by the
Qualified electors of said territory annexed to said Central Contra
. Costa Sanitary District, as aforesaid, and that bonds will be issued
for the purpose of raising money for the acquisition and construction
of the improvement described in said proposition and to the amount
therein stated.

8. That the Secretary of this Sanitary Board enter this resolution
in the Minute Book of this Sanitary Board and the s~me shall constitute
a statement of the result of the canvass of the returns of said election.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND FIL~D this 3rd day of August, 1548, by the
Sanitary BoArd of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District of Contra
Coste County.
