HI NUTES OF' AN ADJOURNED MEETING
OF 'l'HE DISTRICT BOARD
CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
HELD FEBRUARY 18, 1954
The District Board of Central Contra Costa Sanitar'y District
convened in an Adjourned session at its regular place of meeting located
at 1822 Mt. Diablo Blvd., City of Walnut Creek, County of Contra Costa,
State of California, on February 18, 1954.
The meeti.ng was called to order by Fresident J'ohnson.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The Minutes of the meeting of February 4,1954, were approved as
presented.

APPROVAL OF BILLS
None

OLD BUSI NBSS
RESOLUTION NO. 813 - CALLING A SPECIAL BOND ELEC'TION AFRIL 27, 1954
Mr. Horstkotte reviewed the necessity and indicated his approval of
the ~;4,OOO,OOO.00 amount. Hr. Burgess of Kaj,ser & Company discussed
financing with and without a call feature and term of bonds.
It was decided that in addition to the proposed pblling places two
more should be added, bringing the total to 10, the number limited by
law. Orinda divided North and South of the main highway, adding one;
one added in the Acalanes Htgh School area consisting of the following
County Precincts; all of Lafayette 20, portion of Lafayette 1, all of
Senanap 3, Walnu.t Creek, Portion of l~., 18 and 20, all of 21.
After the above discussion and changes it was moved by Member
S8.1fin~er'e, seconded by },Iember Spiegl that Resolution 813 be adopted.
Carried by the following vote:

It was moved by Member ~piegl, seconded by Member Stanley, that

REPORTS
ENG INEER
Mr. Horstkotte reported on the recent storm and its effect on the
District systeTI1, causing sewers to back up and flood some homes.
AT'I'ORNEY
Mr. Nejedly discussed promotion of bond issue and a schedule of
Improvement Clubs and other organization contacts.
Mr. Nejedly to inform the Board members of the organizations in
their area.
President to write letter to Improvement Clubs and other
organizations in the District inviting representatives to a Special
meeting on March 11,1954, for the presentation of factual data relative
to the bond election.

It was moved by Member S81fingere, seconded by Member ~piegl, that
Mr. Nejedly be authorized to imrestigate the requested condemnation of
the Long property required tosewer the Beckett property. Carried by
the following vote:

NOES: None
ABSENT: Member Roemer
