HomeMy WebLinkAboutBOARD MINUTES 04-09-53 I..s 1 MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED HEETING OF THE DISTRICT BOARD CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD APRIL 9, 1953 The District Board of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District convened in an adjourned session at its regular place of meeting. located at 1822 Mount Diablo Blvd., City of Walnut Creek, County of Contra Costa, state of California, on April 9, 1953. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by President Johnson. ROLL CALL PRESENT: ABSENT: Members Stanley, Roemer, Salfingere and Johnson Member Spiegl until 7:45 P.M. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING The Minutes of the meeting of April 2,1953, were approved as presented. ENGINEER'S PAY INCREASE It was moved by Member Stanley, seconded by Member Roemer, that the Engineer's salary be increased from $775.00 per month to $850.00 per month, to be effective May I, 1953. Carried by the following vote: AYES: Members Roemer, ~tanley and Johnson NOES: Member Salfingere ABSENT: Member spiegl DISCUSSION OF PRESIDENT JOHNSON'S RESIGNATION Mr. Roemer indicated to the Board his unwillingness to have Mr. Johnson, President of the Board, re~ign his position as President of the Board and suggested that the Vice-President act in the capacity of President Pro-tem in Mr. Johnson's absence. DISCUSSION OF COMPREHENSIVE Sß~ER SYSTEM FOR THE DISTRICT The report submitted by the District Engineer relative to corrective measures immediately necessary to satisfy requirements of the State Water Pollution Board and the state Department of Public Health relative to by-passes was discussed. An expansion for the District, as it is presently constituted, and discussion potential areas of District expansion led to the presentation of following motion: plan of the It was moved by Member Roemer, seconded by Member Stanley that the Attorney for the District be directed to take the necessary steps to hold an election for the purpose of raising construction funds in the amount of that portion of unobligated bonding capacity within the 15% limit prescribed by law. Carried by the following vote: AYES: Members Salfingere, Spiegl, Stanley, Roemer and Johnson NOES: None ABSENT: None ORDINANCE NO. 22 ESTABLISHMENT OF CONNECTION TERMS It was moved by Member Stanley, seconded by Member Roemer, that the District adopt the connection term ordinance as presented by the District's attorney.
