HomeMy WebLinkAboutBOARD MINUTES 01-04-51 86 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE DISTRICT BOARD OF CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD JANUARY 4. 1951 The District Board of Central Contra Costa Sanitary District convened in regular session at its regular place of meeting lo- cated at 1822 Mt. Diablo Boulevard, City of Walnut Creek, County of Contra Costa, state of California, at 8:00 o'clock p.m., on January 4,1951. The meeting was called to ord~r by Acting President Toland, and the following roll was called: PRESENT: ABSENT: Members Malott, Smitten, Toland. Members Johnson and Wadsworth READING OF MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING The Minutes of the previous meeting were read and were approved as entered. ACCEPTING GRAVITY AND PRESSURE SEWER IN MORAGA AREA - WORK OF MARTIN BROS. INC. Member Smitten, seconded by Member Malott, moved the adoption of Resolution No. 669: RESOLUTION NO. 669 WHEREAS, the District Board of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District entered into a contract for the construction of Gravity and Pressure Sewer Lines in the Moraga area with Martin Brothers, Ino- . orporated, and WHEREAS, the work under said contract has been completed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor as evidenced by the certificate of John L. Mason, and WHEREAS, the said John L. Mason has filed a Notice of Completion of such work on behalf of the Central ContraCosta Sanitary District, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that such work be and the same hereby is accepted and all sums remaining due under said contract be paid to the said Hartin Brothers, Incorporated upon the expiration of thirty days after the recordation of the Notice of Completion and that the progress payment of $516.47 be paid forthwith. FEES AND INSPECTION FOR SUBDIVISIONS Member Smitten, seconded by Member Wadsworth, moved the adoption of Ordinance No. 12: 01 04 51 67 ORDINANCE NO. 12 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWERS IN SUBDIVISIONS AND ESTABLISHING THE CHARGES THEREFOR. The District Board of the Central Contra Costa'Sanitary District does ordain as follows: , . That all ordinances, regulations or orders of the District Board of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District inconsistent with the provisions of thiS ordinance are, to the extent so inconsistent, hereby repealed. That prior to the installation of a sanitary sewer system or part thereof, there shall first be obtained a permit therefor. Such permit shall be issued only after: (1) ( 2) ( J) (4) Adequate easements for such system have been dedicated to and accepted by the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District. The District Manager shall have approved the sewer system. There shall have been deposited with the district an amount of money estimated to be necessary to inspect and approve the construction of such sewer system. !he applicant for such permit shall have agreed to pay to the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District any such in- spection expenses that may be incurred in excess of the amount required above. There shall be paid to the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District the connection charges and fees required by other applicable ordinances or regulations of the Central Contra Oost~ Sanitary District. (SHEF.~lAN ACRES) It waS moved by Member Smitten, and seconded by Member Wadsworth, that the Board authorize the Acting President and the Secretary to execute the Grant of Easement from East Bay Municipal Utility District crossing their a~queduct right of way near Sherman Acres. Carried by the following vote: ~ AYES: NOES: ABSENT: Members Malott, Smitten, Toland and Wadsworth Members - None Member Johnson 01 04 51 68 OFFER TO PURCHASE 12 ACRES OF TREATMENT PLANT PROPERTY BY PACIFIC TRUCKING SERVICE The Pacific Trucking Service, H. W. Smith, President, made an offer of $9,600.00 for the purchase of 12 acres of treatment plant property, with 1200 foot highway frontage on the Arnold Industrial Highway, subect to ability to obtain two entrances from the Arnold Highway, and to zoning commercially for parking, repairing, gassing, oiling, and overhauling of trucks. The Board authorized the Manager to negotiate and make a counter offer of a lease of the property, subject to final approval of the Board. PAYMENT OF BILLS It was moved by Member Smitten, seconded by Member Wadsworth that bills as approved by the Manager and audited by the Auditing Committee be paid with the exception of the bill from Preston and Price, which is approved for payment less 10% for future negotiation.
