CENTRAL <nmtA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT
HELD AUGUST 18, 1958
The District Board of Central Contra Costa Sanitary :District conyened in
an Adjourned Regular SessioD at its regular place of .eeting located at 1250
Springbrook Road, Walnut Creek, Count,. of Contra Costa, State cf California,
on August 18,1958, at 8100 o'clock P.M.
In the absence of President Fisher, the .eeting was called to order by
Mellber Salfingere.

The Minutes of the .eeting of August 7,1958, were approved as presented.

Mr. Horstkotte, District Manager-Bngineer, explained the conclusions of
the report and the re.edial .easures.
Mr. Horstkotte stated that the cost to the District to install a sewer line
in stable ground, approxiutely 30 feet deep, as one of the alternates recommended,
is estiuted to be $6,238.00.
Another alternate, as reco_ended in the report, would be to stabilize by
drainage control the entire area and install the sewer liRe at ~noraal depth.
This is estiaated to cost $12,486.00; $3,675.00 of wbich would be for sewer
line work.
Mr. Horstkotte reco..ended that the stabilization plan, at an estiaated
coat of $12,486.oo, be adopted aDd that an agreeaent be worked out with the
property owners to share the cost. '
After discussion with the property owners present at the aeeting who
are affected, it was suggested, since under one plan the cost to the District
is an esti.ated $6,238.00, or approxi.ately 501 of the $12,486.00 under the
second plan, that the property owners and the District work out an agreeaent
to share the cost 08 a fifty-fifty basis.

Me.ber Roeaer suggested that the property owners get together and present
to the District aa agreeMat and guarantee up to $8,000.00; the cost tò the
property owners to be 501 of the actual cost of the work or $8,000.00, wbichever
is the lesser aaount.
It was 8OVed by Me.ber Spiegl, seconded by Meaber Roeaer, that Mr. Horstkotte,
District Manager-Engineer, be authorized to enter into an agree_at with the
residents of the Alta80UDt Drive-Cresta Road Area, Orincla, for the work as set
forth in the Porter, Urq8bart, McCreary. O'Brien Engineering Report, if they
place with the District adequate security to guarantee the sua of $8,000.00, the
