HomeMy WebLinkAboutBOARD MINUTES 07-22-78 1347 MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED REGULAR BOARD MEETING OF THE DISTRICT BOARD CENTRAL CONTRA COSTA SANITARY DISTRICT HELD JULY 22,1978 The District Board of the Central Contra Costa Sanitary District convened in an adjourned regular session at its regular place of meeting, 1250 Springbrook Road, Walnut Creek, County of Contra Costa, State of California, on Saturday, July 22,1978 at 9:00 a.m. President Allan requested the Secretary to call roll. 1. ROLL CALL PRESENT: Members: Campbell, Boneysteele, Rustigian, Carlson and Allan ABSENT: Members: None I!. APPROVAL OF MINUTES None. III. APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURES None. IV. HEARINGS None. V. BIDS None. V!. OLD BUSINESS 1. PROPOSED BUILDING SITES PRESENTATION BY STAFF AND ARCHITECT a. Mr. Dolan, General Manager-Chief Engineer, reviewed the process that lead up to the presentation to be given by the architectural firm of Mckinlay, Winnacker and McNeil, AlA and Associates. He then referred to Messrs. Winnacker and Woods for their presentation. The architects advised that the firm had made a study of all proposed sites, including a vehicle trip study, and have selected several sites worthy of further consideration Utilizing slides and maps, Mr. Woods elaborated on the merits of each of the sites to be further considered. After discussing pros and cons concerning each of the proposed sites, it was the consensus of the Board to field review all of the proposed sites, including one proposed by Member Boneysteele for further consideration. b. FIELD REVIEW OF SITES At 10:35 a.m., President Allan directed the continuance of the meeting at each of the respective sites for a field inspection. At 12:10 p.m., President Allan reconvened the meeting at the regular place of meeting. As a result of the field inspection and a discussion regarding the proposed building sites, the Board directed District Counsel and staff to further investigate some of the parcels. The Board also instructed the architectural firm to develop a proposal to conduct a study considering the possible remodeling and expansion of our existing office and maintenance facility to meet District needs for the foreseeable future. 07 22 78 1348 07 None.
